Position Overview

Join us in our fast-paced support to the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition, SDA delivers space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA capitalizes on a unique business model that values speed and lowers costs by harnessing commercial development to achieve a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience. US is seeking a Director's Action Group Action Officer to support our client in Chantilly, VA. Duties include:



Responsibilities

    Manage/oversee the admin team including quality control of the Director's schedule including travel.
  • Perform Quality Control duties to ensure that all meetings are reviewed with sufficient lead time to include:
    • Understand DTR and JTR as it relates to Director travel parameters and timelines.
    • Understand Director preferences and to conduct quality control to confirm.
    • Execute the WAR, Home Day and Senior Staff Meeting.
  • Direct and oversee the receipt, tasking, tracking and closure of all internal and external trackers.
  • Ensure SDA Cell Chiefs and Tranche Directors are responsive to daily action items as well as monitor progress on actions, generate metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines, prepare periodic reports on action status, and keep leadership aware of late, pending, and new actions.
  • Provide research, writing, editing, drafting, creation of graphics, production, and technical coordination to create, maintain, and update definitive documentation for efforts as required by the government. This includes creating, maintaining and archiving briefings, animations/movies, speeches, white papers, video or other media.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and external stakeholders.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical or business related discipline.
  • Top Secret w/SCI eligibility; #qinetiqclearedjob
  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in the Department of Defense.
  • MUST be highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Candidate should have excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and be independently motivated while maintaining a strong commitment to communication.
  • Ability to review, distill and work with highly technical data in the context of SDA and Administration priorities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • OSD, Joint Staff, Services, and Combatant Command experience a huge plus.
