Job Description

To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained environment at The Omni Homested resort.



Responsibilities

This position requires strong knowledge of:

    Maintain all mechanical items in guest rooms and public areas.
  • Receive direction for house calls via radio.
  • Assists engineers and mechanics with repairs.
  • Clean all work areas once job is complete.
  • Works with Maintenance technician 1 and 2 to repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to correct the problem.
  • Uses a variety of tools and equipment including but not limited to power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
  • Works with each department to assure emergency and safety work orders are handled promptly.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
  • And any other reasonable task asked of them by management

  • Telephone
  • Radios
  • Maintenance hand, power & shop tools

Working Environment:

  • Interior & all areas of the resort. Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • Exterior of resort with exposure to weather conditions.
  • Exposure to various hazardous chemical


Qualifications

  • Previous building maintenance experience required. Hotel experience preferred.
  • Must be able to handle frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire shift.
  • Required to perform inspections and repairs anywhere in or out of hotel property.
  • Frequent bending and/or kneeling required.
  • Candidate must have excellent time management skills, the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail.
  • Must be able to work weekend and holiday shifts. Schedule will vary according to business and operational needs.
