STV Inc., is looking for Civil/Highway Project Manager in the Transportation group in our Maryland operation.

This position's primary roleis to process projects from notice to proceed to final project closeout including plan development, scheduling, cost estimating, specifications, and related administrative duties. Duties also include supervision and guidance as they relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Consults with the Principal Project Engineer to resolve project related issues.

Our clients include federal, state, and local governments, and transportation authorities. Projects have varied degrees of complexity and a wide range of estimated construction costs and include highway and intersection improvement projects, limited access highway and interchange improvements, and design of new transportation infrastructure facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing project management and professional design services for transportation highway and other projects for the State, Counties, Municipalities, and other transportation agencies

  • Developing design plans including horizontal and vertical alignment, and cross sections, construction staging, traffic control plans, signing and pavement marking plans

  • Coordinating with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget

  • Assisting with the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages

  • Establishing working relationships and interfacing with client technical staff and project managers

  • Assisting with the preparation of technical and cost proposals

  • Work closely with other project managers and group leads to plan resources and manage internal workshare

  • Assist in developing client capture plans and pursuit win plans, proposals, and other business development and client engagement activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required / MS Preferred

  • A PE license in MD is required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and designing highway improvements and transportation infrastructure projects

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to perform project management responsibilities, working independently and in coordination with other team members and Project Managers

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple clients at varying stages of design/construction completion

Compensation Range:

$61,760.55 - $82,347.40
