Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field..
  • At least three (3) years of management experience in an accounting or finance related position.
  • At least seven (7) years of finance or accounting experience.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel software, including V-lookups and pivot tables.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with the ability to apply to business transactions.
  • Analytical ability.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize appropriately and meet deadlines.
  • Sense of urgency with the ability to respond quickly to internal and external customer requests.

Responsibilities

Summary

The Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function, providing strategic insights, and supporting executive decision-making processes. Supports the finance department owning the budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of all sections of the income statement. Leverages data and analysis to drive financial efficiency and support business objectives. Collaborating with all levels of the organization to optimize understanding variances and trends while ensuring financial sustainability.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Manager is responsible for the overall budget, guidance, long range planning, and performance metrics for BI Inc.
  • Establishes standardized reporting package to highlight and explain monthly and quarterly variances with detailed commentary at the account level for all income statement related accounts.
  • Develops labor reporting that analyzes labor costs in aggregate as well as at the product line level, forecasts labor requirements, and measures productivity.
  • The FP&A Senior Manager prepares monthly reporting package that analyzes expenditure trends, variances, and drivers with detailed commentary to provide insight into operational, spend, and business patterns on a month over month and quarter over quarter basis.
  • Conducts in-depth financial analysis and modeling to support business initiatives and strategic planning.
  • Provides actionable insight and recommendations based on financial data to drive informed decision-making.
  • The FP&A Senior Manager works closely with corporate partners and information technology to migrate all planning activity to Hyperion, as well as implementing real time reporting and dashboards via Power BI.
  • Acts as a financial advisor to the various groups of the organization offering guidance on financial matters and best practices.
  • Leads and supports cross-functional teams aimed at identifying and improving efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
  • Identifies opportunities for automation and enhancements for reporting that streamline the process and capabilities.
  • Mentors and develops finance staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Builds strong relationships with senior leadership to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Provides other ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
