Mission:

Training Operations Specialists provide high quality operational or technical training and documentation for all Epiroc Divisional related products and services. The successful candidate will work with the Parts and Service Division's (PSD) global training department, to facilitate US Customer Center (US CC) compliance and participation in divisional initiatives. This role will achieve growth initiatives by focusing on improved customer satisfaction through effective communication and partnership with the goal of achieving best service provider status among all current and prospective customers. The Training Operations Specialist will spend a portion of their time supporting and auditing the trainers in the field, on customer sites, so candidates must be comfortable working in that environment.

The work environment in the mining and construction industries has unique and interesting challenges one will not find in other professions. It is all encompassing, anywhere from office attire one day to working in a rough and rugged environment another day in some of the most beautiful and pristine areas of the world. The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is regularly required to lift up to twenty-five pounds, is occasionally required to lift up to fifty pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Use of personal Protection Equipment may be required in this role. The position is considered Safety Sensitive.

Responsibilities:



  • Create and manage training programs packages for capital machine sales and technician development
  • Ensure trainers have the necessary product training and skills to train others effectively.
  • Audit Training team's classes to ensure use of Epiroc published training materials and curriculum are consistent across training events.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to ensure high-quality training delivery along with maintaining the published training calendar.
  • Align training strategies with company goals and objectives. Develop training using technology, such as virtual aids, AI assisted training, and task specific modules to move training methods into the future.
  • Create and manage training budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards and utilization.
  • Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve the effectiveness of training programs, implementing changes, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with HR to onboard new trainers and build relationships with external training vendors.


Requirements:



  • A minimum of 5-7 years in training and development or a related role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Certificate of Completion for a Technical or Trade School in hydraulics or electrical, or a bachelor's degree in a related field would be an additional benefit.
  • Train the Trainer (Epiroc) or similar certification, with familiarity with industry-standard training methodologies and practices. Proven success in developing and implementing training strategies that meet business needs and objectives, with demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills, including the ability to provide constructive feedback, motivate trainers, and guide the team toward common goals. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate training programs' effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • An advanced understanding of the control and navigation systems used on Epiroc and other OEM equipment, as well as Epiroc specialty software applications.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, including technical writing ability to provide documentation of events. Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, as necessary to support training activities and initiatives.
