Why This Job

The PMO Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Project Management Office (PMO) functions within the organization. The role includes ensuring that all project management activities, methodologies, and processes are aligned with organizational goals and strategies. This position requires a strong leader who can manage and guide project managers, maintain project governance, and ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within scope, and on budget.

What You'll Do
  • Establish, implement, and maintain project management methodologies, frameworks, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with the PMO processes and manage continuous improvement efforts.
  • Oversee the portfolio of projects across the organization to ensure alignment with business goals and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain project portfolio dashboards, tracking project progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management regarding project portfolio health.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers, ensuring they have the tools, training, and support necessary for success.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and professional development for PMO staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the PMO team.
  • Provide strategic and tactical support to project managers in planning, executing, and closing projects.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with established objectives.
  • Assist in resolving project issues, roadblocks, and conflicts.
  • Act as a key liaison between senior management, project teams, and other departments to ensure proper project alignment and communication.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project performance, risks, and issues to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings and status reviews with stakeholders to ensure transparency and progress.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive risk management strategies are in place.
  • Monitor and manage resource allocation across multiple projects to ensure proper staffing and avoid resource conflicts.
  • Oversee project budgets, ensuring they are accurately defined, tracked, and adhered to.
  • Provide financial forecasting and reporting for projects within the PMO, ensuring all financial constraints are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO to enhance efficiency, quality, and project delivery.
  • Stay updated on the latest project management trends, tools, and technologies, and incorporate them into the PMO strategy.
  • Develop and manage PMO policies, procedures, and best practices to standardize project delivery across the organization.
What You'll Need
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in project management, with at least 3-5 years in a PMO leadership or management role.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex projects and overseeing a portfolio of projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and mentoring skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Monday.com, Planview, etc.).
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Your Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred.
