Who You'll Work With
The Firm Controllership Group is responsible for consolidated U.S. GAAP financial statements and maintaining compliance with internal accounting policies for management reporting. The group is also responsible for policy making, documenting best practices and maintaining a strong internal control environment to manage financial risks. In addition, the group provides support and guidance to local office accounting managers, finance operations and firm leadership, and works collaboratively with many different teams (Treasury, Pricing, M&A, Legal, Risk & Insurance, Real Estate, Tax, etc.) around the firm. You will engage with all pillars of Global Finance and interact with various functions across the firm, ensuring a comprehensive and impactful experience.
Your impact within our firm
Join our Global Finance function as part of the Firm Controllership team. This role involves collaborating with senior Finance and firm leaders to drive transformative change.
You will lead our new Finance internal controls team reporting to the Global Controller, primarily responsible for designing, testing, monitoring, and remediating internal controls with a view towards SOX-level compliance.
This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including:
  • Design and implement control framework: Own the design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and monitoring of the internal control framework, including policies and key risks, to ensure the company has adequate controls to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations
  • Recommend policies: Recommend policies and procedures to enhance internal controls, compliance, and efficiency
  • Lead control reviews: Oversee the process for internal controls reviews across the company
  • Timely reporting: Provide timely and comprehensive reporting on the internal control framework and control deficiencies to ensure proper communication, documentation, and escalation to business partners, senior leadership, and the audit committee
  • Action plans: Develop and monitor timely action plans to address and resolve control deficiencies
  • Collaborate on remediation: Work collaboratively with business and process owners to implement and monitor remediation efforts resulting from internal control assessments, ensuring effective corrective action implementation
  • Standardize and automate: Actively seek standardization and automation, apply best practices for managing internal controls, and deploy innovative technology to continuously improve the design and operating effectiveness of controls, documentation, evidence retention, assessment, and review procedures
  • Engage with auditors: Actively engage with internal and external auditors to ensure consideration and resolution of all relevant risks and audit findings
  • Conduct training: Develop and conduct training sessions and prepare related informational materials on internal control objectives, approach, and methodology for business partners regularly to build knowledge and understanding of risks and controls
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and global company policies
  • Communication: Understand and communicate critical matters/ issues to key stakeholder, ensuring clear actions and ownership are defined and closed in a timely manner
Your qualifications and skills
  • Computer literacy including strong knowledge of MS Excel
  • Strong understanding of general accounting concepts with an ability to perform technical accounting research
  • Excellent organizational ability and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; ability to perform well under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to manage and lead a high-performing global and diverse team
  • Proactive approach to problem solving

to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current

and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
