Position Summary:

As a PC support specialist, you are responsible for maintaining and installing organization

workstations, Mobile Devices, and other peripherals in the MECU environment. The candidate will provide technical support in activities associated with identifying, prioritizing, and resolving

reported problems within the MECU corporate helpdesk. These activities include recognition,

research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up with end-users and/or third-party vendors.

Position Responsibilities:

A PC support specialist helps End-users with computer hardware and software, and their responsibilities include:



  • Troubleshooting malfunctions with hardware, software, operating system, and network problems
  • Set up and repair computer equipment and related devices.
  • Maintaining system capabilities by testing existing equipment and programs
  • Trying out new systems and software
  • Document changes, software revisions, and problems
  • Training End-user on proper use of hardware and software
  • Analyze End-user computer problems to diagnose them and determine the cause
  • Submit tickets for End-user on their IT problems
  • Guide End-user through the recommended problem-solving steps
  • Install and train End-users on new hardware or software
  • Inform team members and managers of major problems or End-users recurring concerns
  • Stay up to date with new technology and industry best practices
  • Provisioning and de-provisioning users in Active Directory


Required Skillset & Experience/Education:



  • Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field - Required
  • Fundamental understanding of computer architecture
  • Strong understanding and experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems
  • Fundamental knowledge and experience troubleshooting basic PC networking issues
  • Familiar of Active Directory users/computers, group management
  • Travel to various branch locations - Required
  • Rotational evening and weekend support - Required
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50lbs.


Preferred education and certifications:



  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+


Compensation:

Salary Range per hour, depending on experience and qualifications



  • $20.28 - 29.42

Work Location and Physical Demands:

This position is located at Corporate Headquarters. Employees in this role may apply for a hybrid work schedule after the successful completion of their 90-day conditional period. Approval is subject to performance, department needs, organizational resources, and manager's discretion. The schedule may include some Holidays and Saturday hours based on departmental needs.
