Temporary Program Assistant

Center for Talent Development at Northwestern University

The Temporary Program Assistant (PA) works closely with the Admissions and Assessment administrative team to provide detailed and accurate information to all families and clients calling in for information and assistance with multiple CTD Summer Programs. The Temporary Program Assistant takes on tasks as directed by the Manager of Admissions. This is a customer service role requiring high energy, quick learning, strong communication skills and flexibility.

Employment Dates

22.5 to 30 hours (3 or 4 days) per week - March 4th to at least August 2nd, 2024

Days: Monday - Thursday (Thursdays remote)

Time: start between 7:30 and 8:30 end between 4:00 and 5:00

$20.00 per hour

Qualifications

  • Previous client-facing, office experience required. Previous experience working in a fast-paced atmosphere highly desired.
  • Applicants must possess superior organizational, communication, and customer service skills, be detail-oriented, and creative problem-solvers. Must be flexible and have a positive disposition.
  • Computer proficiency required; front line phone experience required; experience with data entry required.
  • Must be able to lift 40+ pounds.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Salesforce experience preferred

General Responsibilities

  • Learn and implement CTD and Northwestern Policies and Procedures.
  • Uphold and promote the CTD Honor Code.
  • Follow all CTD rules and regulations concerning staff conduct, program procedures, and other responsibilities as set forth in the staff handbook and by administrative staff.
  • Provide accurate and professional customer support as informed by program literature to all parents, students and staff associated with the program and ensure a positive representation of the Center.
  • Process student applications and materials.
  • Work closely and effectively communicate with the CTD administrative staff in order to efficiently and accurately complete all necessary program preparations as assigned.
  • Carefully maintain confidentiality of information regarding children, families, and staff, as well as conversations that take place in the CTD offices.
  • Assume program-related responsibilities as requested by CTD administrative staff.
