Manager Global FP&A
Reporting to the Director of Global FP&A, the Manager Global FP&A will play a critical role in driving enterprise-wide financial planning, P&L management and reporting. This individual will help develop robust analytics and critical insights that drive enterprise-wide strategic business decisions and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. The Manager will also serve as a key business partner to select senior leaders and interact with BioMarin's senior executive team, including the CEO and CFO.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the organization's process around the global annual budget, quarterly forecast and long-term financial planning, coordinating closely with functional finance teams and IT
- Drive financial analytics and reporting activities, coupled with business insights on strategic initiatives and potential growth opportunities within the enterprise P&L
- Support the preparation of FP&A presentations and business performance reporting for senior executive leaders, Audit Committee and Board of Directors meeting materials
- Oversee FP&A processes for key corporate functions, such as Treasury and Licensing Arrangements, including cost center management and implementation of standard management reporting with key insights to variances
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting complex areas, including the impact of foreign exchange on the global business and track key aspects of business performance across the organization.
- Lead and mentor analyst in the Company's Financial Development Program, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities
- Work in collaboration with finance partners across the Company to identify, develop, recommend, and implement process enhancements
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as required
Experience Desired:
- 5+ years of experience in complicated corporate finance environments (preferably in-house corporate finance)
- A grasp of the biopharma industry and its complex, highly regulated landscape is desirable; experience in other healthcare segments is also attractive
- In-depth experience with financial systems, including implementing, using, and enhancing (e.g., financial planning applications; ERP). Experience with SAP, Oracle and Hyperion, is helpful.
- Results driven, adaptable, flexible, and creative in developing new improvement ideas and solutions
- Hands-on experience working closely with the operations of a high-growth business
- Strong interpersonal skills; effective on teams as well as individually
- Strong attention to detail, decision-making, problem-solving, time management and organizational skills
Education
- Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
- Advanced Degree, CPA, or MBA preferred

In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $ 105,600 to $ 158,400 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A discretionary bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
