This position reports to the Maintenance I&E Supervisor, who then reports to the Maintenance I&E Superintendent.

What you will do:



  • Adapt Nutriens' safety culture and core values as well as participate in SPEAR program
  • Support production units by providing technical assistance for all Instrumentation maintenance activities in regard to electrical and control process systems
  • Understand and interpret loop sheets, PIDs, technical manuals, electrical schematics, drawings and PI historian
  • Safely and efficiently install, commission and maintain instrumentation on BMS, SIFs, DCS, CEMS and Gas detection systems
  • Supporting the execution of preventive maintenance activities within Nutriens' operations including documentation of findings and work performed
  • Participate in turnaround activities and be flexible to come out for callouts
  • Assist operations with process issues by troubleshooting, calibrating and repairing instrumentation to resolve vulnerability
  • Maintain instrumentation calibration documentation in Oracle EAM ERP and Procal database
  • Provide work execution feedback and post-job reviews of actual work performed and materials used compared to plan



What you will bring:



  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Completion of an Industrial Instrumentation Certification or Enrollment in certified Industrial Instrumentation School is required
  • Minimum of 1-year industrial experience preferred but not required
  • A commitment to safety and environmental best practices and culture
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and required overtime, particularly during turnarounds and unit downtimes
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, safely lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
  • Comfortable working outside in an industrial atmosphere
  • Good communication and positive attitude to work along with the I&E team, operations and contractors
