Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

A locally headquartered company is recruiting a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst. This role will be responsible for the preparation and management of external financial reports, technical accounting research and assisting with Internal Controls. This is a very team oriented environment with opportunities for promotion and leadership exposure.

This is a hybrid role, salary to $130K.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare, review, and manage the timely filing of external financial reports, including quarterly, annual, and other SEC filings as required.
    • Ensure financial statements and disclosures comply with US GAAP, SEC regulations, and company policies.
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial statement audits and reviews.
    • Work closely with internal teams to gather and validate data for external reporting.
    • Prepare materials for senior management and respond to questions, issues as required
    • Assist with quarter and year end close
Compliance & Regulation:
    • Monitor and interpret changes in accounting standards and SEC regulations, assessing their impact on financial reporting.
    • Implement and maintain controls to ensure compliance with SOX requirements
    • Research technical accounting issues and communicate accordingly
Process Improvement:
    • Develop and refine processes for financial reporting to improve accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
    • Use technology and automation tools to streamline reporting processes.

Qualifications and Skills:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is a huge plus
    • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting, experience in public accounting is a huge plus. Must have public company experience
    • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX compliance.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
    • Experience with major ERP systems and financial reporting tools area plus.
