Job Purpose

The Wholesale Planner position is responsible for national inventory and order management; as well as the development of future ordering platforms to support the achievement of monthly U.S. retail and wholesale objectives for the Powersports business unit. Independent and critical thinking, along with high-value decision-making is expected to make recommendations and provide direction to 4 Zone Managers and 31 District Sales Managers (including policy setting and exception decisions).

Key Accountabilities

  • Regular execution and administration of all ordering platforms
  • Strategic planning and coordination with other departments to achieve Wholesale targets
  • Development and administration of future ordering platforms to align with market needs
  • Maintain supply reserves for department inventory and new dealer setup needs
  • Regular reporting on ordering performance and ordering platform enhancements

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience Proficient in all MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint with especially strong skills in advanced MS Excel.
  • Experience in data analytics preferred.
  • Experience in plan development, tracking against results, and developing plan recovery countermeasures.
  • Knowledge of Powersports products, supply chain management, and exposure to automotive industry operations and business models is preferred.
  • Experience in project management
  • Strong analytical, written/oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain strong relationships with both intra-department and intra-organization contacts.
  • SAP experience.

Workstyle

  • Hybrid
  • OT Required monthly.
  • Must be able to sit and work in computer programs and applications for extended periods of time.
  • Professional work environment with exposure to highly confidential information and business strategies (must have thorough understanding of this).
  • Frequent presentations / recommendations to upper management; must be able to perform in high stress environment.
  • 5% travel required.
