We are seeking a Quality / Production Engineer to provide direct manufacturing, production, and quality support for Army missile program production efforts. You will review and provide input on missile manufacturing planning, oversee ongoing production efforts, monitor and report program quality metrics and issues, and evaluate missile manufacturing proposals. You will be responsible for reviewing defense system production planning and will report your findings in an independent work environment. You will be operating in a fast-paced environment and engaging with various levels of stakeholders to ensure the production and quality planning, and execution is capable of meeting program requirements.

On a typical day, you can expect to participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPT) with government, military and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) teammates; review production and quality planning from OEMs; analyze quality and reliability data from the OEMs; represent Army interests on-site during production and testing efforts and respond to requests from government stakeholders. You will be interacting with both the government project office and the OEM manufacturing and engineering staff.

Required

• BS or BA degree
• 12 years' experience in defense manufacturing, reliability and/or industrial operations
• Some travel
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Desired

• Experience with defense system production planning
• Experience with Root Cause/Corrective Action (RCCA) activities via a Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
• Experience with Production Line Validations (PLV) and First Article Inspections (FAI)
• Experience with Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) and Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs)
• Experience supporting Failure Review Boards (FRBs) and Material Review Boards (MRBs)
