Overview The Big Picture: Mortenson is seeking a resourceful; self-starter, creative individual with a positive attitude to join our marketing team as a Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager oversees the creation and management of materials, including proposals, presentations, and marketing messaging that differentiate Mortenson. This role also involves managing internal and external communications, such as videos, articles, newsletters, and event content. Success requires flexibility, creativity, strong organizational skills, and effective communication in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to manage multiple proposals, ensure high-quality deliverables, and coordinate cross-functional efforts. Drive business growth by developing impactful proposals and marketing materials while addressing process and content challenges. Responsibilities What will you be doing?
- Program Communications & Storytelling:
- Lead the development of compelling stories and narratives that align with program goals, providing strategic guidance. Ensure cohesive messaging and a unified visual identity across all communications.
- Graphic Design & Marketing Collateral:
- Create and design marketing materials, including regional guides, flyers, and recruiting documents. Lead the proposal and interview process from content development to final formatting, ensuring high-quality graphics and presentation content that highlight Mortenson's solutions.
- Website & Salesforce Management:
- Maintain and update website content regularly. Manage the marketing aspects of Salesforce, including entering project-specific details and ensuring the database remains updated and accurate.
- Event Planning & Coordination:
- Support internal events such as the annual meeting and assist with holiday gifting initiatives. Collaborate with teams to plan and execute memorable events.
- Brand Consistency:
- Ensure consistent branding across all projects by training teams on the effective use of signage tools. Uphold cohesive messaging and a unified brand identity across marketing efforts.
- Proposal Management:
- Lead proposal content management, editing, and quality assurance. Coordinate cross-functional meetings to develop tailored proposals and graphics. Oversee proposal timelines, budgets, and implement a structured review process. Maintain a searchable proposal library for future use.
- Interview Coordination:
- Gather, verify, write, and format information to support interview preparation, ensuring a professional presentation.
- Business Plan Support:
- Assist in creating business plan decks and other leadership-facing materials, providing strategic and visual support to meet organizational goals.
- Marketing Collateral & Communication Support:
- Write, design, and assemble marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, articles, and event content. Coordinate project and team member photography for various marketing needs. Develop internal communications to enhance team engagement.
- Special Projects:
- Act as the sole marketing professional on select pursuits and initiatives. Lead special projects, collaborating with teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Qualifications How will you succeed?
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, PremierePro)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Resourceful, self-starter with excellent judgment and problem-solving capabilities
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Professional demeanor with adaptive communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong creative and business writing skills, with a focus on storytelling and concise messaging
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high-quality standards in design, content development, and branding

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, or related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in marketing, graphic design, video production or communications required
- Experience in the construction, engineering, or architectural industry is preferred
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite required
- Proposal creation experience preferred

Mortenson is an EOE/Affirmative Action/M/F/Veteran/Disabled employer. The base pay range for this role is $79,600- $119,400. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. Please make note:
