Duties and Responsibilities
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Research Assistant to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to conduct Master's level biostatistical and epidemiological analyses, specifically structural equation analysis, as directed by the Principal Investigator (PI). As well as, assist the PI, research staff, and students with various statistical projects. The ideal candidate will be able to work up to 20 hours per week and contribute effectively to our research and grant-related goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Time Tracking:
* Accurately record hours spent on each task.
* Submit a bi-weekly timesheet for review.
2. Literature Review:
* Conduct thorough research and analysis of relevant sources.
* Identify key findings, trends, and gaps in literature.
* Provide clear and concise summaries aligned with project objectives.
* Provide recent references for relevant literature.
3. Initial Introductions:
* Draft engaging and informative introductions for manuscripts and grants.
* Ensure clarity, conciseness, and grammatical accuracy in writing.
* Provide recent references for relevant literature.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
* Maintain open communication with the supervisor.
* Provide regular updates on progress and seek guidance as needed.
5. Meeting Deadlines:
* Complete tasks within established deadlines.
* Communicate proactively about potential delays.
6. Confidentiality:
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and data.
7. Professional Development:
* Engage in opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

8. Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
1. Part-Time Position: Up to 20 hours per week, providing flexibility to balance with academic or other commitments.
2. Remote Work: This role offers the ability to work remotely, accommodating a diverse range of candidates.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Education Required: Bachelors Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
Preferred: Bachelors Degree Experience Required: None
Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
Qualifications
1. Educational Background: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Public Health or a related field.
2. Experience with Literature Review: Demonstrated experience in conducting comprehensive literature reviews, with the ability to identify key findings, trends, and gaps in research.
3. Experience in Manuscript and Grant Preparation: Proven experience in working on manuscripts and grants, including drafting and editing.
4. Research Skills: Ability to conduct independent research and synthesize findings effectively.
5. Writing Skills: Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging content. Must be proficient in creating introductions for manuscripts and grants.
6. Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
7. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
8. Confidentiality: Must understand and respect the need for confidentiality in handling sensitive information and data.
9. Professional Development: A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning in the field.
