Looking for a Software Automation Developer that understands IP Networking concepts. The Job requires the development of tools to support various Router Integration and Migration Activities. Ability to enhance or grow existing tools built on Nokia iGEN and IPMod automation Tools. Also, the ability to build new tools with modern tools like Python, etc. Ability to work closely with Solution Architects to turn Requirements and Deployment Guides into Automation Tools to enable the Services team generate configurations and integrate Nokia Routers.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Responsible for own code quality, review, testing, troubleshooting, debugging activities.
  • Gather information needed to support problem solving and decision making.
  • Capture customer and project requirements to create S/W high level/low level design documents.
  • Prepare Tools to support IP Services Delivery Needs. Integration, Router Migration,
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve software bugs, working closely with the engineering teams to resolve issues
  • Works effectively in a mixed environment and uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Has in-depth business knowledge and uses understanding of how relevant areas integrate to achieve objectives.
  • Uses advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems or problems that do not have routine solutions and takes a new perspective.
  • Shares initial ideas for professional direction of own organizational unit.

You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering/computer science or equivalent experience (3+ years) with a strong foundation in fundamentals of computer science.
  • Programming experience in one or more of C++, C# (I-GEN uses Razor that is a subset of C#), Python. Visual Basic within Excel, BASH
  • Good understanding of basic IP networking concepts
  • Experience with Nokia Router configurations (7750, 7250, 7705)
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies. Experience using Docker or OpenStack would be preferred.
  • Understanding of software version control systems. GIT experience preferred
  • Understanding of basic OS and system software concepts. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Linux preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and team player attitude.

  • Ability to work with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Ability to write high quality code: clean, reliable, reusable code, easy to debug and maintain.
  • Able to produce user documentation for tools/software developed and deliver group training sessions for users via remote conferencing tools (Webex/Microsoft Teams)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Nokia SRA or NRS II
  • Nokia products experience (7750SR, 7250 IXR, 7705SAR, 7210SAS, and NSP)
