Summary:

The Finance & Insurance Manager provides critical administrative support to the Finance and Insurance Department, ensuring smooth and efficient processing of financial transactions and maintaining strong relationships with lenders and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Process finance credit applications promptly and accurately.
  • Submit credit applications and truck/trailer specifications to lenders.
  • Communicate with lenders to determine financial options for customers and relay pertinent information.
  • Prepare, organize, and process finance documents for truck and trailer sales, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Submit signed finance contracts for funding and code them for the accounting department.
  • Process titles for completed sales transactions.
  • Maintain and organize customer financial files, ensuring accurate notes and up-to-date deal statuses.
  • Create and maintain paperless customer files and finance prospects in the system.
  • Manage the customer line of credit spreadsheet, ensuring accuracy and updates.
  • Handle customer payoff inquiries and process warranty requests with appropriate documentation.
  • Prepare and distribute daily updates on the status of current deals.
  • Act as the custodian of all financial documents and records.
  • Ensure punctuality, maintain consistent attendance, and complete full shifts as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Physical & Mental Requirements:



  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Exhibit logical thinking and strong task prioritization.
  • Work well both independently and within a team setting.
  • Frequently sit for extended periods and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.



Education, Skills, and Knowledge:



  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 3-6 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages; experience with 10-key calculators is a plus.
