Job Summary: The Data Analyst II gathers, audits, analyzes, and reports moderate- to high-complexity data under moderate supervision. Ensures data integrity. May build dashboards or reporting systems for end users, perform ad-hoc analyses and reporting to inform decision-making, or design predictive modeling or other data mining capabilities. May provide guidance and training to entry-level Data Analysts. Additional Department Summary: The Research ASSIST Office at the University of Alabama is seeking a talented individual to join our team. This position collaborates with leaders across academic, research, and administrative functions, using advanced data analytics to support our mission of research innovation and impact. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of data analysis experience; OR master's degree and some data analysis experience. Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and other BI tools. Familiarity with ETL processes and data modeling. Experience with data extraction tools like Denodo, Informatica, SSIS, Alteryx, etc. Experience in Tableau and SAP BusinessObjects. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) or Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate are highly desirable.
