AESC is looking to add a Bidding Center Manager to our team in Murfreesboro, TN.

About the Role The individual will oversee activities relating to the bidding center, ensuring the smooth execution of bidding processes based on inputs from the indirect procurement team. The role focuses on managing the end-to-end bidding workflow, including issuing bidding invitations, organizing bid openings, preparing bid reports, and optimizing bidding operations for cost efficiency and process improvement. The individual will collaborate cross-functionally to support organizational cost-saving initiatives and operational excellence. What You Will Do
  • Oversee and manage the bidding center's processes, ensuring efficient execution of bidding packages, supplier lists, and bidding strategies received from the indirect procurement team.
  • Issue bidding invitations to suppliers, coordinate bid submissions, and arrange bid openings.
  • Prepare comprehensive bid evaluation reports and present findings to the bid committee.
  • Organize and facilitate bid committee meetings to ensure transparent and effective decision-making.
  • Continuously optimize bidding processes to enhance operational efficiency and drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to refine bidding strategies and supplier selection criteria.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations throughout the bidding process.
  • Perform general management responsibilities such as hiring, performance management, performance reviews, and individual development activities.
  • Track and report on bidding center performance metrics, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, sourcing, or other relevant fields.
  • 5+ years' experience in procurement, bidding, or sourcing, with a focus on bidding process management.
  • 2+ years' experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record in managing bidding processes, preparing bid reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in dynamic environments under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in supplier negotiations and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to travel up to 10% domestically. #LI-IC1

Nice to Have

  • Previous Six Sigma training, Black or Green Belt desired.
  • Experience with digital bidding tools and platforms.
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration or Procurement Management.
  • Nationally recognized professional certification (Certified Purchasing Manager or Certified Professional Contract Manager).
  • Experience in process optimization and implementation of best practices in bidding workflows.
