SummaryJob Description Summary Performs wiring, assembly, and test of an X-ray based electro-mechanical system. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment. Responsible to complete documentation, maintain inventory, and overall factory organization. Need to have the ability to travel periodically to do field service on completed assemblies. This could include troubleshooting and repair, installation of new system, and preventative maintenance visits. Travel is 10-15% of the time. Job Description This unique role will be a combination of electro-mechanical assembler and test technician. The successful candidate would be hands-on to first assemble the X-ray machine, then perform testing as will be defined by the team to certify the machine before shipment. Experience assembling electro-mechanical assemblies to include wiring harnesses, computerized machine controls, networking modems, and other mechanical items. Must have the ability to read and follow schematics. Must have the ability to route, strip, and terminate a wide variety of wiring, including assembling connectors. Experience with X-ray equipment is a big plus. Ability to follow schematics and troubleshoot electrical circuits with instruments such as a multimeter is required. Color vision required. Will work with material moving equipment such as palletjacks, overhead cranes, and possibly forklifts to move and secure heavy assemblies. Other duties as assigned could include inventory control and general cleanup and tidiness. Must have the ability for occasional travel, including possible travel with little notice for field service work.
