Huntsman is seeking an Environmental, Health, Safety Manufacturing Excellence and Engineering Global Audit Coordinator supporting the EHS and Manufacturing Excellence and Engineering Division located in The Woodlands, TX. This position will report to the Senior Director, Global Sustainability and EHS Governance.

In summary, as the Environmental, Health, Safety Manufacturing Excellence and Engineering Global Audit Coordinator, you will:

Audit Planning and Scheduling

  • Develop and manage a global audit schedule aligned with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate audit scopes, objectives, and timelines with internal stakeholders and external auditing consultants.

Audit Staffing

  • Identify and assign internal and external auditors to scheduled audits, ensuring appropriate expertise and availability.
  • Maintain a pool of qualified internal audit team members and engage external consultants as needed.

Audit Implementation and Reporting

  • Oversee the execution of audits, ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Manage the review and approval of audit reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and actionable recommendations.

Tracking and Follow-Up

  • Ensure all audit findings are documented in the company's tracking systems and are followed through to closure within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with site and regional leadership to develop and monitor action plans addressing audit findings.

Regulatory Developments

  • Monitor and evaluate regulatory changes that may impact audit programs or compliance requirements.
  • Update audit procedures and standards in response to new or revised regulations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement from audit findings and share insights with EHS leadership.
  • Drive the development and implementation of best practices in audit processes.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as ISO Lead Auditor, CSP, or CIH are preferred.

Experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in EHS auditing or compliance roles, with at least 3 years in a global or multi-regional context.

  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and external consultants is a plus.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in audit management software and data tracking tools.

  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and relevant chemical industry regulations).

Organizational relationships
  • Internal: Regular interaction with manufacturing site leadership, Regional EHS Directors, Global Safety and Environmental Leaders, and Corporate Compliance teams. Collaborates with IT and other functions to ensure the effectiveness of audit tracking systems.

  • External: Coordinates with external audit consultants, regulatory agencies, and industry associations as needed.

Special features
  • Global Scope: Requires coordination of audits across multiple regions, adapting to diverse regulatory environments and cultural contexts.

  • Travel: Periodic travel to manufacturing sites and regional offices to support audit activities and stakeholder engagement.

  • Dynamic Environment: Must stay current with evolving regulations and industry trends to ensure audit processes remain effective and compliant.
