Thank you for considering Progyny! The Principal Engineer role embodies the responsibility of a "spirit guide" for the advancement of a the Web/Mobile technology practice and discipline. This role ensures that utilization of that technology in the organization is applied with a consistent understanding of the pragmatic balance of "Perfect" vs. "Good enough", weighing the constraints of available skills, resource availability, cost, and time-to-market commitments. A Principal Engineer is actively/directly involved in developing foundational assets with that technology on emerging business needs but with a primary objective of educating others to evolve further and ensure support continuity. This role will also be called upon to inform/educate non-technical stakeholders on that technology domain and is expected to be involved and aware of industry updates and latest developments to guide company or partner implementations strategically. In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $190,000 - $200,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required.
