Semiconductor Manufacturing Engineer intern (FEOL Section)

JOB SUMMARY: Drive improvement projects related to quality and/or cycle time improvement as well as scrap and/or cost reduction in a high-volume semiconductor wafer fab.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Implement non-contact sheet resistivity monitoring

2) Drive one or more test wafer spend reduction projects

3) Assist with running trials to improve thermal flat zones in high temp horizontal diffusion furnaces.

4) Update vertical and horizontal diffusion furnaces recipe documentation.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Junior or Senior undergraduate engineering student with some prior knowledge and/or practical experience in nanotechnology and/or semiconductor processing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: (Fab-involved roles, example)

* Requires walking and standing on cleanroom floors for prolonged periods.

* Working in a cleanroom environment and wearing clean room attire (bunny suit, mask, gloves, protective eye wear and booties).

* Potential to work in proximity to hazardous chemicals with provided PPE and safety training

* Lift/carry 10 pounds at a time

* Push/pull up to 120-pound cart, occasionally.

* Must be able to read small print, with or without visual corrective lenses.

* Many wafer handling functions performed manually (i.e.: load, unload, transfer, transport, etc.) including operating hand-held devices such as keyboard, keypad, mouse/trackball, scanner and wand.

* Many tasks require two-handed grip/grasp on a frequent, to continuous, and daily basis.

* Ability to perform physical requirements throughout the course of 12-hour shifts, with or without reasonable accommodations.

The Summer Intern hourly range for this role is $25.50 - $32.20 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
