Job Summary:
U.S. Pavement Services is currently seeking a Construction Manager to oversee project management to ensure that revenue and profitability goals are met while providing the best customer experience, maintaining all safety requirements and work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Review projects and schedule weekly with Operations Director to maximize revenue and project efficiency
- Determine need for project management based on complexity, customer type and sales/ops review
- Secure special asphalt/material pricing for large projects
- Identify and obtain required project permits
- Assist in final review of large projects prior to submission with local and national sales
- Oversee management of subcontractors with help from Project Managers, including identifying ways to use subcontractors to increase revenue
- Presale review with sales representatives (including plan review, pre-bid calls/meetings)
- Review and provide local pricing for national account work
- Maintain close, positive working relationship with all staff and colleagues
- Represent the company favorably to customers and vendors at all times
- Follow existing procedures and provide feedback for improvement whenever possible
- Be willing to "step up" to positively lead colleagues and subordinates

- Demonstrable knowledge of construction processes with an emphasis on commercial asphalt work.
- Understanding of safety regulations and industry standards/best practices
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with senior management to achieve the necessary goals.
- Must be able to perform in a team atmosphere with proven leadership skills
