Our three divisions-Engineering and Test, Technical Services, and Mission Systems-make DTB a diverse, interesting, and challenging place to work. The successful candidate will be part of our corporate plan to grow all three divisions both locally and nationally.

This position will report directly to the President; you'll be involved in many facets of the company. This position covers more than the law. You will be working with Human Resources, Compliance, and Security. In addition, you'll support our many contracts with various government agencies and Fortune 500 aerospace companies by providing support on a wide range of business matters in a technical environment. In this role:

• You will review diverse commercial and government contract documents involving technical services we provide.
• Your role will also include working with the technical sales and proposal teams, accounting, and procurement as required for new business development efforts.
• You will participate in drafting/reviewing Non-disclosure Agreements, Teaming agreements, and sub-contract agreements, and negotiating changes to these agreements, directly or in conjunction with sales and contract support.
• You must be practical and business-minded with an ability to provide real-world, pragmatic advice.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• 5+ years relevant legal experience working in a corporate setting, law firm, or government, corporate experience is a PLUS.
• Experience with government contracting, International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR),
• commercial insurance, OSHA, and environmental regulations, are a strong plus.
• A Juris Doctor degree with admission to the bar in New York is required.
• You must have the ability to obtain a government clearance.
• Experience with New York and Federal employment law, Affirmative Action Plans, are a strong plus, but not a requirement.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills along with a commitment to a high level of ethics, professionalism and condentiality is essential to this position.
• The ability to work across all levels of the organization will be critical for career development, growth, and continued challenges in our unique, interesting, and diverse business environment.
• Prior non-legal work experience or military service is a strong plus.
• This position will be an On-Site position.
