As an Engineering Manager, you will be a hands-on leader, actively contributing to the codebase while owning the architectural and technical direction of our mobile platform. You will lead a globally distributed team while ensuring the successful delivery of a scalable, flexible, and secure mobile application architecture that serves enterprise-scale, multi-tenant supply chain needs.
This is a remote position open to U.S. candidates, with a preference for those in the Dallas, Texas metropolitan area. You will:
Design, implement, and maintain a high-performing, cross-platform mobile application using React Native to deliver seamless, device-agnostic experiences. Act as a player-coach, leading development efforts by making key architectural and technical decisions while actively contributing to the codebase. Manage and mentor a globally distributed team, fostering collaboration between engineers in the U.S. and India, and ensuring alignment on technical vision and execution. Drive cross-platform technology decisions, optimizing for scalability, maintainability, and performance. Integrate and optimize Azure services, ensuring cloud-connected mobile solutions that power real-time shipment tracking, inventory management, predictive analytics, and edge computing. Implement and oversee security best practices, including robust authentication solutions using Azure Active Directory (AAD) and Gravitee with OIDC. Ensure top-tier application performance, security, and compliance, continuously improving reliability and responsiveness. Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend teams to align technical execution with business goals.

Experience:
Mobile Development: 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining visually stunning and robust applications using React Native, Swift, and Kotlin at scale. Proven track record of developing high-quality applications, writing robust tests, and ensuring long-term maintainability. Proven Experience in Mobile Engineering Leadership: Previous experience managing and mentoring engineering teams, including distributed teams across multiple geographies. Mobile Application Architecture: Design and implement a scalable, flexible, and secure mobile application architecture for both iOS and Android, using the latest development tools and best practices. Cross-Platform Development: Lead the evaluation and adoption of cross-platform technologies, ensuring high performance and maintainability across mobile devices. Backend & Microservices: Experience working with microservices architectures, including development with Node.js/TypeScript for backend services. Strong understanding of API design principles to create scalable, efficient systems. Database & APIs: Proficiency in NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and expertise in REST API design and implementation. Skilled in integrating mobile applications with cloud-based services and real-time data streams. Identity & Access Management (IAM): Experience with AAD and a strong understanding of OIDC authentication flows, with the ability to support evolving IAM solutions like Gravitee. DevOps & CI/CD: Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation, optimizing deployment pipelines, and managing mobile app releases to the App Store and Google Play. Performance Optimization & Best Practices: Deep knowledge of mobile performance tuning, memory management, and battery efficiency for large-scale applications. Ability to diagnose and optimize app performance to ensure a seamless user experience. Testing & Quality Assurance: Strong advocate for test-driven development, implementing unit, UI, and integration tests using frameworks like WebdriverIO, Appium, SauceLabs to guarantee application robustness. Collaboration & Communication: An empathetic communicator adept at working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear insights and thoughtful solutions in both written and verbal communication. Product Mindset & Impact: Passionate about building exceptional products that not only delight customers but also drive meaningful business value. ------------------------------------------- The salary range for this position is: USD $150,385.00 - $189,615.38 The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
