The part-time (approximately 14 hours per week, 35 weeks per year) Culinary Lab Assistant is responsible for but not limited to inventory management, stock rotation, washing, cleaning, and sanitizing all cooking and food preparation tools and surfaces. The Lab Assistant will maintain and assist with daily perishable and non-perishable delivery and inventory management, answering and taking telephone messages, pre and post classroom setups as well as perform any other reasonable related task or job assigned by culinary arts area coordinator or chef instructor. The Lab Assistant will also be accountable and responsible for kitchens and storerooms areas security while on duty when chef instructor or area coordinator is not present.

Hourly Range: $19.20 - $19.86 (commensurate with experience)

Pre-placement physical required.

Minimum Qualification:

  • High School Diploma and 3 years' work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree

  • Experience in the food service industry

  • ServSafe certification
