Position Overview:
This Project Manager II will be responsible for working within the Project Management Office, specifically within a Portfolio of Projects to assist the Senior Project Managers with Project tasks as assigned. Work will include but is not limited to detailed spreadsheet work, assisting with billing and billing backup, compiling of reports including Status, Deployment, billing, etc., processing and tracking work orders, assisting with asset and inventory management, and special Projects as they develop.

  • Assist Senior Project Managers with Project deliverables as assigned including but not limited to: special Projects, billing and billing backup, asset and inventory management, work order creation.
  • Manage day to day operational activities within a portfolio of Projects across various internal functional departments within infrastructure as directed by Senior Project Managers or PMO Manager.
  • End-to-end responsibility for successful delivery in a matrix resource environment for all the project deliverables.
  • Provide status reports which will be provided to multiple levels of leadership both within the organization and at the customer level.
  • Understanding of SLAs (Service Level Achievements) as they relate to contractual responsibilities.
  • Oversight and management of equipment installation and coordination of technical teams.
  • Coordination of support work from other departments including but not limited to maintenance technicians, field network engineering, security and alarm installation support and operations.
  • Recommend improvements to established procedures and processes.
  • Effectively communicate with all operations groups in the company as well as organize and distribute project data to the field teams designated to specific projects. Follow a designated project management methodology to achieve all tasks assigned by the Project Management Team.
  • Maintain PMO knowledge and provide support for on-time development and delivery of IT solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned
What you will bring to the team:
Mandatory
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one (1) year experience serving in a project management capacity. A minimum of four (4) years of hands-on project management experience can replace the educational requirement.
  • Strong attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Experience working in at least one interrelated departmental project.
  • Proven experience effectively interacting with customers, including relationship building.
  • Ability to work with customer management team to provide status and set expectations to ensure project success.
  • Ability to use PMI methods in work products/project execution including change management, risk management, and issues management.
  • Negotiation skills to achieve coordination and results.
  • Ability to demonstrate clear understanding of managing all project phases.
  • Ability to manage changes effectively and proactively in regard to project scope.
  • Experience with, or managing projects with, field-based deliverables, and practical experience with concepts such as technician utilization, ticket backlog, and workload balancing
  • Collaborate with Director, PMO and Senior Project Managers to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to proactively develop and implement strategies that significantly mitigate risk.
  • Ability to work and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, PMO Dashboard.
Desired:
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio & Project.
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • Resource Management experience.
  • Prior experience with Project billing and financials.
  • Experience leading a team.
Compensation:
Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $85,000 - $110,000.
Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local California area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
