Base Compensation Range: $50,000-$60,000 *In addition, you qualify for:



  • Annual equity award of $6,000
  • Commission target of 25% of base salary

Sterilization and Disinfection Control division manufactures and sells biological and chemical indicators that assess the effectiveness of sterilization and disinfection processes for pharmaceutical, healthcare, and dental industries.

Job Summary:

As a Sales Development Representative you will proactively generate new business opportunities for Mesa Labs. Customer prospecting and client relationship management will be utilized in a variety of ways. These may include telephone calls, emails, HubSpot and various marketing tools or other means necessary to generate business opportunities. The SDR works closely with the Regional Account Manager to grow and develop a sales pipeline, build the Mesa brand, and meet and exceed the assigned objectives.

Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Meet and/or exceed weekly and monthly performance targets for the number of prospect engagements, qualified leads passed to the Account Manager, and pipeline contribution
  • Work with the sales team to develop and cultivate marketing-supplied and self-supplied leads resulting in high-quality sales opportunities for Account Managers
  • Collaborate with Account Manager to incorporate target companies into your outreach cadence
  • Qualify sales leads from marketing-driven campaigns
  • Work with sales to build creative email campaigns to supplement outbound engagements to new prospects
  • Ability to articulate value and uncover needs at various levels within an organization
  • Perform research on companies as a component of lead generation and qualification activities utilizing HubSpot, LinkedIn, AI platforms, and other research tools available
  • Develop detailed summaries of qualified leads for Account Managers to understand a prospect's business pain and infrastructure
  • Update CRM with conversations, competitive information, company size, decision-making criteria, and other pertinent information
  • Attend and participate in corporate sales team meetings and events as needed
  • Responsibilities will evolve as the role matures


Education/Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role in inside sales, sales lead development or related roles.
  • Background or education in microbiology or other life science fields is a plus
  • Professional presentation skills and the ability to network across various levels of an organization
