Job Description:Under the Assistant Chief's general direction, the engineer must be able to perform the following tasks: high pressure boiler watch, repair, maintenance, and operation of emergency diesel generators and all steam, electrical and mechanical equipment. The engineer must be able to work independently on pneumatics, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, control systems and plumbing repair. Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent - Preferred Stationary Engineer Apprenticeship Program - Preferred Experience: Experience in the installation, maintenance, repair or operation of a variety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, ventilating, refrigeration, controls, pumps, motors, or related plant machinery - Required 4 years Plant Operations - Stationary Engineer - Preferred Certifications/Licensures: Driver's License - Department of Motor Vehicles - Preferred Skills: The engineer must have the ability to perform all other duties traditionally performed by the Stationary Engineer. Handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner. Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals. The engineer must demonstrate a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with all members of the health care team, respond to patients with concern, and promote group morale. Work Shift:08.0 - 15:00 - 23:30 No Waive (United States of America) Pay Range: $63.12 - $63.12 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area. Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
