  • This temporary position is set to conclude on 6/27/25, with the potential for extension depending on operational needs.
*Temporary staff employees are ineligible to receive benefits (leave, health coverage, State service credit, etc.). They are, however, covered by Worker's Compensation provisions.
However, any non-permanent employee hired to work 30 or more hours per week for three months or more (cumulative of all positions, and not designated as variable hour worker), must be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, within 30 days of their eligibility. Any non-permanent employee hired to work less than 30 hours per week (cumulative of all positions, or designated as variable hour worker - i.e. student workers) are measured during designated measurement periods. If they average 30 or more hours per week over a designated measurement period, they will be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, and will be notified of instructions.

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Once fully trained this position MAY be eligible to telework up to 1-2 days per week at the direction of the Director. Must live within a commutable distance to campus.
Pay Rate $20
Minimum Experience/Education

  • Graduation from high school and one (1) year of experience in the specialized area(s) in broadcast television, film, or studio productions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 year of experience with post-production and video production



Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

  • Proficient in Adobe CC applications: Premiere, Prelude, After Effects, Media Encoder
  • Proficient in Articulate Storyline or other eLearning softwares and technologies.


Duties and Responsibilities
The Media Production Specialist will work with post production that involves editing, finalization, and the publication of a variety of digital media. Responsible for setup and operating production equipment such as cameras, lighting, and audio gear, both in-studio and on location. Develop scripts and storyboards with client input.
Work in conjunction with the Director of Course and Media Production, Technical Production Manager, and Production Manager to assist in performing all aspects of video production, assisting in content creation, set design, setup, media acquisition, editing, duplication, publishing, and project tracking.
Other Work/Responsibilities
Work independently and/or in a group setting to diagnose and solve problems as they arise. Plan for, and maintain, equipment and software to ensure project success with minimum downtime.
