Positive, outgoing, and energetic individuals who are willing to learn, practice and exemplify the Schweitzer culture of hospitality and teamwork while working in a fun, fast paced environment. Applicant should be 16 years or older. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for food preparation and some cashiering. Works closely with Kitchen supervisor. Duties include food handling, storage, rotation, processing and presentation. Responsible for basic monetary exchange skills as well as strong guest interaction skills. Must be knowledgeable of all equipment and food cycle information. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Combined standing/walking position for up to 8 hours per shift. Will stand in place for up to 2 to 3 hours at a time. Will get breaks as available. Will lift up to 25 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level on a frequent basis; will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Worksite is 100% inside and is exposed to all kitchen hazards. All sensory skills needed. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be willing to obtain and learn extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, services and activities. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in giving directions and answering questions. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Food preparation expertise EDUCATION: English reading, writing and communication, basic math, knowledge of Health Code EXPERIENCE: Basic cooking and cashiering skills LICENSE NEEDED: None AGE REQUIREMENTS: 16+ MACHINES/TOOLS OPERATED: State of the art digital pizza ovens, processors, basic kitchen tools including knives.
