Job Description

ORC is seeking a full-time, exemptRight of Way Agentto work on projects based in Arizona. The selected candidate must reside within a 100-mile radius of Phoenix, AZ and will have the flexibility to work out of their home office but will be required to travel locally and throughout the state 25%-50% of the time, and report to the client's office in Phoenix, AZ as requested. Per diem and mileage based on travel requirements.

What you will be doing:

As a Right of Way Agent, youwill be taking the lead on acquiring easementsfor fiber and electric transmission line projects throughout Arizona. This particular project will bring a more reliable power source to communities through line rebuilds or the creation of new lines which will in turn upgrade the power source to new standards. Will conductadvanced right of way negotiationswith high-risk landowners. Will workdirectly with the client in order to best assign and prioritize tasks for yourself and other ORC agents.You will be responsible for preparingreal estate documents, performing property research,ensuringcompliance, serving as a mentor to other agents and providingadministrative support. Agent should expect to hit the road daily, traveling locally and throughout the state, based on project requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Minimum of two(2) years of Right of Wayacquisition experience
  • Active Arizona Real Estate License*
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Dropbox
  • Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
  • Valid Driver's License



Bonus pointsif you have direct experience working on transmission line projects,IRWA designation, PMP, and/or an Arizona Notary.

Physical Requirements: English language proficient. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. The employee is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff. This role requires the employee to occasionally travel to meet with clients or vendors which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations. While meeting with clients and vendors, will need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes. May be exposed to the elements (heat, rain, snow, cold).
