Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:00 PM Schedule is Subject to Change General Purpose: Acquires materials, supplies, and services, for both maintenance MRO & plant production required ingredients / items and closely works with Maintenance & Production sustain an efficient operation. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with SAP/MRO Systems and acquire "Super User" status
- Audit daily open, overdue/ backordered, purchase orders/ requisitions to ensure they are accurate and on time
- Research for a part or item in a timely manner
- Gather equipment information required and review order to make sure it is correct
- Maintain special order items status accurate and on time
- Keep requestor advised of order status
- Reconcile purchase orders to invoices, and submit to accounts payable in a timely manner
- Work with all plant SAP specialist and Corporate to ensure SAP/ MRO programs operate satisfactorily
- Communicate directly with OEM suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive cost and quality parts
- Review opportunities for new supply sources and suitability of materials offered
- Look for ways to increase purchasing / parts room efficiencies
- Monitor and report any department discrepancies to maintenance management
- Perform Physical inventory on Totes, Labels, boxes, bimonthly and reconcile with SAP
- Participate in 5S program Audits
- Attend all assigned pass-down meetings
- Utilize purchasing, parts receiving and maintenance team member's skills
- Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
- Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive
- Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
- Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment
- Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity
- Attend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)
- Responsible for monitoring and taking corrective actions when necessary for a critical control point as part of the plant HACCP plan
- Ensure that all documentation is done correctly and turned in promptly
- Participate in Buildings and Grounds inspections, coordinate periodic scale checks
- Coordinate service of forklifts and scissor lifts
- Work with EHS team on oil storage and hazardous waste inspections, coordinate removal of e-wastes

Pay
- Competitive pay $26.00 to $31.75 per hour based on experience
- Rate includes $1.00 shift differential for hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM

Minimum Requirements: Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years related experience preffered
- CDL
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience in Purchasing Preferred
- Experience with inventory control
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational planning skills
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of SAP / MOR, Microsoft word, Excel & Access
- Ability to accommodate, hour / schedule change as required
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
