Per diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position primarily in the acute care I/P setting.
Work collaboratively with our experienced and ever-growing Speech Pathology team to evaluate and treat adults with complex dysphagia needs, as well as patients with aphasia and cognitive-communication disorders. Participate in daily collaboration with nursing, hospitalists, dieticians, respiratory therapy, specialist physicians, discharge planners, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. Work closely amongst our multidisciplinary rehab team committed to providing evidence-based practice and comprehensive care for our patients. Our SLP clinicians are also excited to be performing Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluations of Swallowing (FEES); a recently launched evaluation tool within our department in 2024! At least one year of acute care experience and competency performing Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Studies preferred. At least one weekend (or two split weekend days) per month is required. Additional weekend differential pay offered for weekend shifts worked. Additional weekday coverage may be available as needed to cover current staffing.
