Physician-Rheumatology - Elmhurst Queens

Job Summary :

We are seeking a Rheumatology trained physician to join us in pursuit of high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate should have:

* 1-3 years clinical experience in an outpatient setting
* Patient-centered approach toward a positive patient experience
* Excellent communication skills
* Interest in Population Health

Responsibilities:

* Review patient's history and perform physical examination.
* Evaluate, diagnose and provide appropriate treatment and patient care.
* Recommend and order lab tests including X-rays of the joints to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition.
* Diagnose disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and immune system.
* Diagnose and treat rheumatic disorders of the skeletal system, muscles and joints.
* Treat patients with rheumatic diseases including, but not limited to lupus, tendonitis, arthritis, myositis, scleroderma, and osteoporosis.
* Prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs and other medications.
* Formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.
* Refer to occupational or physical therapy as required.
* Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
