Overview
ENERCON's Energy Group is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for an onsite opportunity in Longview, Texas. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse and innovative team to evaluate and design power systems at power-generating facilities. This position can be offered as Full time, temporary assignment or LTLB (Long Term Limited Benefits) for 3 - 6 months + in the Longview, TX area.
Responsibilities
As a key member of the team, your day will involve collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of designs and data. You'll manage project budgets, schedules, and quality, while providing technical oversight and driving design innovation. You'll oversee procurement processes and solve complex technical challenges to keep projects on track. Your role will be dynamic, balancing coordination, problem-solving, and leadership across multiple aspects of projects.
Collaboration with Other Disciplines: Understand and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, ensuring seamless integration of designs, drawings, and data across teams
- Design and Technical Oversight: Participate in design reviews, prepare design studies, and ensure technical work meets quality standards while overseeing routine and advanced tasks performed by others
- Project Management: Manage project budgets, scope, schedules, and quality with minimal guidance, ensuring projects stay on track and meet objectives
- Procurement and Equipment Selection: Prepare specifications for electrical equipment procurement and installation, evaluate bids, and select appropriate equipment
- Problem Solving and Innovation: Devise innovative solutions to technical challenges based on broad industry knowledge and experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university and Minimum 7 years of power system design experience
- Experience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems (preferably onsite experience)
- Familiarity with working with clients
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Good writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
