Position Summary We are looking for a Junior Staff Accountant to support our day-to-day transaction activity, including expenses, payroll, and invoicing. Finance Assistant responsibilities include monitoring A/R & A/P systems, maintaining internal reports, account reconciliations, assisting with the monthly/annual close, and maintaining the finance calendar. Role and Responsibilities
  • Update financial spreadsheets and systems with daily transactions
  • Track and reconcile bank/credit card statements
  • Assist in processing tax payments
  • Support monthly payroll and keep organized records
  • Monitor and Maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Appropriately code invoices and bills across several systems
  • Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed
  • Provide administrative support during budget and monthly report preparation
  • Assist with quarterly and annual audits, including insurance audits
  • Assist with mail flow from customers/vendors/government entities

Required Qualifications and Education
  • 1-2 Years Work experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
Preferred Qualifications and Education
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
  • Familiarity with GAAP, DCAA, DCMA, and/or Indirect Cost Accounting Standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP Concur, ADP)
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Work Environment
  • Work is performed in an onsite office environment
Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
