Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • The role includes providing group therapy, individual therapy and family therapy in a hospital based setting.

  • Completing utilization reviews with commercial insurance

  • Using evidence based practice and specified treatment modalities for therapy

  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team with regards to treatment, including occupational therapist, nursing staff, and physicians.

  • Attending weekly multidisciplinary treatment teams weekly and participating in staff meetings

  • Provide case management to patients with regards to daily and weekly needs as well as referring and connecting patients to outside providers for transition from treatment.

  • Completing clinical documentation as legally and ethically required by the organization and governing boards

  • The goal of the services is to treat the presenting illness and return the patients to a previous or higher level of functioning within the community under the general supervision of a qualified licensed clinician.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family therapy; Master's in social work; Master's in clinical counseling or like area

  • Requires experience of at least one of the following: providing individual and family therapy; group therapy and short term treatment with youth/and or adults in a therapeutic environment.

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy experience and/or interest required

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

  • Must be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Associate Social Worker or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. Or must provide proof of application for registration with the BBS within 90 days of completing a masters level program in social work, counseling psychology or a like program.

Ages of Patients Served

Under the general supervision of a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or licensed Psychologist. This position is responsible for the treatment and care of adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Salary Range:

$45.12 - $58.27 USD Hourly
