Systems Engineer II | Displays & Cockpit Integration

What You Will Do:

We are looking for a Systems Engineer II! In this role, you will join a team that designs airborne avionics display systems! This dynamic role includes all aspects of Systems Design ("V-model"), customer relations, and proposal creation. The scope of our avionics systems engineering position will consist of requirements development, system modeling, safety analysis, aircraft integration, and more. Open communication between hardware, software, reliability, and program management disciplines is integral to the success of this position.

This is an on-site position with hybrid flexibility in either of our state-of-the-art facilities in Oak Creek, WI (Headquarters), or Phoenix, AZ. You will report directly to the Displays and Cockpit Integration Systems Engineering Manager.

How You Will Do It:

  • Perform various tasks, including requirements development, system modeling, safety analysis, verification procedure creation, test execution, and preparing certification documentation.
  • Perform Flight Deck Avionics System integration activities in the Avionics and Integrated Labs.
  • Assist with defining installation and qualification requirements for equipment within the Avionics System.
  • Participate in architecture definition, trade studies, and multi-disciplinary integration problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to perform the design, verification, and integration activities.

What We Look For:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, aeronautical, computer, software, systems engineering, or computer science.
  • Minimum two years of systems engineering experience.
  • Experience with requirements management and change tracking tools like DOORS, ADO, etc.
  • Open to occasional travel as needed.

Desired:

  • Experience with regulatory design guidelines; examples include ARP4754A, DO-178b/c, DO-254, and DO-160.
  • Experience with avionics communication protocols, including MIL-STD_1553, ARINC 429, ARINC 664, and Ethernet.
