Summary of Position:

The Vice President, Product Development & Portfolio Management will be an important partner in the strategic development of our pipeline of next-generation antibody therapeutics for the treatment of cancer. This position plays a crucial role in orchestrating the cross-functional assessments and decisions required to advance product candidates from discovery through clinical development, regulatory approval, and commercialization. The candidate will work with leaders in clinical, research, new product planning, development, finance, and business development. The incumbent will be instrumental in the concept, design, and growth of the Product Development and Portfolio Management function to ensure delivery of development, clinical and corporate programs, on time, in scope and within budget.

Responsibilities and Job Duties



  • Direct and redirect cross-functional efforts, prioritize workstreams, and/or identify sub team needs to ensure deliverables are aligned with the big picture.
  • Build and mentor high-performing product development teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Manage the overall budget and project plan deliverables, by working closely with Project Management Team members to ensure alignment on budget, resources, and timelines.
  • Drive innovation to improve product development efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of direct reports.
  • Portfolio Management - plan, monitor, manage risk & issues, achieve budget alignment, develop "go"/"no go" criteria, and maintain the cross-portfolio timeline.
  • Oversee and manage the internal governance structure to ensure transparency, communication, and adherence to good decision-making principles.
  • Develop, track, execute and present Portfolio/Program goals and deliverables to drive accountability with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide presentations to senior management team and Board of Directors regarding progression of portfolio.
  • Participate in developing drug product development and delivery strategies through internal/external partnerships as well as product integration.
  • Participate in Joint Steering Committees with alliance partners.


Qualifications



  • Advanced degree in science or equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional experience; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience and success in an Asset and/or Portfolio Strategy function within another biotech/pharmaceutical company.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading product development teams and projects.
  • Strategic leader and exceptional communicator with demonstrated success building, managing and developing individuals and aligning teams of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in U.S. biotech/ pharmaceutical industry is required, and specific industry experience in oncology is preferred.
  • Prior management of cross-functional product budgets and timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.


Additional Information

The annual rate of pay for this position ranges from $251,000 to $404,000. For non-exempt roles, and according to applicable regulations, there may be the possibility for overtime pay. This role is eligible for the Company's discretionary bonus and discretionary equity incentives. Eligible employees may participate in the Company's benefits programs, including medical / dental / vision / prescription coverage, employee wellness resources, 401(k) plan with employer match, access to an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, (ESPP), paid time off & paid parental leave benefits, and disability benefits.

The annual pay rate range is described in good faith, and the Company believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting depending on the candidate's experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and this range may be modified in the future. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable under the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law.
