Access Services Assistant Library Full Time 82512BR Job Summary Under general supervision of the Manager of Access Services, the Access Services Assistant provides core services to support the teaching, research, and clinical activities of UCSF faculty, students, and staff. Within the Access Services unit, this position performs functional circulation and reserves services, stack maintenance, interlibrary loan, and information desk staffing across Parnassus Heights, Mission Bay, Benioff Oakland, and the Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) Library locations. Collaborating with peers and colleagues within the unit and the Library, the Access Services Assistant stays abreast of library policies, services, events, and special projects to effectively communicate with patrons on a daily basis. This position also has additional duties which may include preparing and shipping out materials, contributing to service data collection through pre-established reporting mechanisms, reporting emergencies or library security problems to appropriate leadership and campus units and assisting with opening and closing of the unit and the library. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $26.98 - $35.06 (Hourly Rate).
