The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.Supply Chain Operations Management (SCOM) organization within CSCP manages manufacturing operations and fulfilment with the external supply chain partners. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management strategies ensures predictable on-time performance, optimized for cost, prevents urgent unplanned investments and provides accurate, timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. The role of Senior Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for driving cross-functional projects and business initiatives for Supply Chain Operations Team (SCOM) and Cloud Manufacturing and Fulfilment (CMOF).
ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations, within the Cloud Manufacturing, Operations and Fulfillment (CMOF) Organization, the role of Senior Supply Chain Manager is key to enabling the Microsoft Supply Chain support Azure customer experience by providing maximum visibility to world-wide delivery timelines of inbound incremental new Data Center capacity (consisting of various Compute, Storage and Specialty) to executives and the customer-facing teams; including the aggressive delivery timelines of GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) rack supply to support the Microsoft AI Strategy. Relying heavily on order fulfillment metrics, quantifying current and future customer impacting capacity risks, navigating resource constraints and establishing key performance indicators. This role will take an order fulfillment focused view holding key internal MSFT cross-functional teams responsible for their deliverables and hold our external partners and suppliers accountable for timely and defect-free server delivery, by driving proactive communication and root-causes resolution to problem areas. The individual filling this role will:This is a dual-function role. ~60% Supply Chain Manager and ~40% Business Manager for Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations.Order Fulfillment Monitoring for GPU at Scale: Coordinate and Communicate internal and external messaging on changes to demand delivery, constraints and impact, through strong customer fulfillment metrics monitoring. Responsible for Server Order Book management (Date change management, Demand prioritization and supply allocation assessments) and will maintain high data integrity standards in Server Open Book for internal and external data dependencies.Drive the execution of the rhythm of business (ROB) including business reviews, planning processes, resource management, budget forecasting, staff meetings, cross-organizational business reporting, etc. to help the business run smoothly and effectivelyPrepare content to support all-hands and related material to represent the organizationDrive cross-functional process improvement initiatives with key stakeholdersDrive projects and workstreams for assigned strategic initiativesDevelop and drive Microsoft Internal and external key performance Indicators and metrics. Including, SLA (Service Level Agreement) monitoring, on-time delivery, Purchase Order Milestone Adherence, order promising, critical order management and risk analysis. Present KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to the Azure executive team in weekly and monthly meetingsResponsible for managing continuous improvements and process initiatives in parallel to day-to-day business operations |
