We are looking for a mission driven Triage Medical Assistant to join our team!

The Triage Medical Assistant, under the direction of a provider, works under the general supervision of the Triage Nurse Manager as part of the medical team. The Triage Medical Assistant is responsible for abiding by policies and procedures of the OneWorld Community Health Centers while performing the clinical and clerical duties necessary to meet the goal of providing primary healthcare. They work primarily from home, but report to work in the clinic on a rotating basis.

This is a full-time position located on our main campus (30th & L). The schedule will be 36 hours per week; generally, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. This is a hybrid position and will work from home the majority of the time and on on a rotating basis one day every other week on campus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, OR must be actively pursuing a high school diploma/GED.
  • Medical Assistant diploma required; current AAMA certification preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within first 30 days of employment.
  • Certified Medication Aide required within first three months of employment.
  • Phlebotomy Certificate preferred.
  • Prior healthcare experience preferred.
  • Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products required; experience with an Electronic Health Record preferred.
  • Proficiency in English required for all locations; proficiency in Spanish required or preferred depending on clinic location and need.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate with warmth and empathy to OneWorld patients and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Flexibility with changing work schedules required.
  • Position includes remote work from home, which requires a home computer, phone, and high-speed internet access.
