Job Title: Tig Welder (Aerospace or Automotive Background) Location: 220 Roberts Cut-Off, Ft. Worth, TX 76114 Shift: 1st 7am - 3:30pm Duration: 6+ months Payrate: $18/hr. to $25/hr. on W2 without benefits Note: Aircraft type welding experience. TIG welding -- Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Inconel, Titanium. Ability to fuse thin metal. Sheetmetal type background. Weld test required'. Job Description: Performs a variety of approved welding techniques to required tolerances per engineering specifications. Makes adjustments, within procedural limits, to fine-tune the process in order to achieve product conformance. Obtains and maintains all required qualifications and certifications in stainless steels and Inconel. Gains ability to perform basic set-up. Role & Responsibilities: High School diploma or equivalent. One to three years of verifiable welding experience including, TIG welding for stainless, Inconel, and titanium. Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) experience with aerospace or precision fabrications desired. Must be AWS D17.1 certified within 6 months of employment. Ability to complete gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) of stainless steels, at varied thicknesses, dimensions, and positions. Ability to support stanchion set up and stanchion welding. Ability to weld components from mechanical drawings, blueprints and written specifications. Ability to interpret weld requirements from blueprints, and written specifications. Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various stainless steel alloys. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
