What You Can Expect
As our Maintenance Planner Supervisor, at Georgetown University's Main Campus, you will be responsible for reducing the overall maintenance costs by improving the maintenance planning, ordering, and management of spares & consumables, coupled with defining emergency spares. You will also be the subject matter expert and owner of the CMMS system.
Every day you will plan, schedule, and provide overall supervision for maintenance work related to mechanical and electrical equipment and piping systems. This includes, but is not limited to, generators, pumps, motors, compressors, valves, electrical controls, and high-voltage circuit breakers You will be reporting to the Operations and Maintenance Manager.
What You'll Bring
- Possess a High School diploma or equivalent
- Possess 6 years of experience in a related field maintenance or construction
- You have 1-2 years of experience as an electrical or maintenance supervisor
- You will plan, schedule, and provide overall supervision for maintenance work related to mechanical and electrical equipment and piping systems, including, but not limited to, generators, pumps, motors, compressors, valves, electrical controls, and high-voltage circuit breakers
- You will initiate immediate repairs resulting from forced outages; communicate status to plant management
- You will coordinate activities of the mechanical maintenance department in compliance with applicable labor agreements and personnel policies and procedures
- You will assist in planning, developing, and scheduling major maintenance activities, including overhauls, replacements, installations, and capital upgrades
- You must be a subject matter expert and owner of the CMMS system (Maximo), generating reports (formal or informal) and presenting them to management every month
- You will be responsible for tracking maintenance activities and creating reports as required for KPI and maintenance reporting. You will partner with centralized fleet maintenance to optimize the system based on best practices
- You will minimize spare parts stock by closely following spare parts rotation and optimizing the distribution
- You will support the O&M Team with outsourcing services, mobilizes vendors/OEM, and supports vendors during execution
- You will create the yearly training schedule for on-the-job training of maintenance personnel per established programs, and ensure it is tracked and completed
- You will create maintenance reports for submission to the University relating to consumption, meter readings, and other items per the concession agreement and any other relevant requests
- You will approve maintenance activities within mechanical maintenance
- You will coordinate maintenance department activities with the maintenance supervisor in compliance with personnel policies and procedures
- You will coordinate maintenance activities with operations, contractors, capex team, and support personnel
- You must review and evaluate the need for tools, parts, and materials for maintenance work. Ensure parts are ordered in time for each task
- You will manage the preventive maintenance program and ensure PM work orders are generated at the proper times
- You will coordinate the inventory management system to make sure parts are entered correctly and checked out to the assigned work orders
- You must participate in mandatory training and other programs
- You must engage with all stakeholders at Georgetown to maintain excellent relationships
- You must work with the Capex and O&M teams to increase synergies
- You must maintain confidentiality of all information available to the position

- You must have thorough knowledge of all plant systems and understanding of process diagrams, simple electrical diagrams, and operating instructions
- You must have knowledge of installing mechanical and electrical equipment in a generating and steam production station
- You must have knowledge of maintenance requirements for boilers and chiller equipment
- You can use analytical judgment to plan and perform diversified work, making decisions within prescribed limitations
- You can effectively communicate with co-workers and take direction from others
- You must be detail-oriented, able to take direction and handle multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and see a work project through to completion
- You must be proficient in Lock-out/Tag-out Electronic Tag System (LOTO ETS) Program
- You possess a strong understanding and manage the effective utilization of the company's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), MAXIMO Maintenance System
- You will support the team with cost control and forecasting such as budget phasing, the value of work done
- You will invoice coordination such as review vendor pay application
- You will be responsible for daily and weekly schedule coordination, and project staffing plans
- You will purchase order coordination such as COUPA entries on behalf of PMs, reconcile materials received with invoiced amounts
- You will be responsible for procurement coordination such as ISN, release of lien forms, sales tax exempt forms, bid evaluation matrix, vendor market analysis
- You have experience with risk register coordination
- You will document control management
- You will assist and manage utility systems outage coordination
- You will set up meetings and produce minutes of the meetings
- You will work and be matrixed to HQ counterparties and on-site team members
- You will assist with plant and campus tours, sustainability initiatives, and other engagement activities
- You will provide ideation for new capital projects
- Carries out other duties as assigned by the Director of Energy Delivery or Operations and Maintenance Manager
- You will perform all duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor not explicitly stated in this description

- This role requires attendance at a worksiteon a daily basis

- This position consists of 10% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
Compensation
Hourly Range: $57.92 to $73.50 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
