Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring an Environmental Services Tech III to handle Floor Care.

This is a full time, evening shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) position with rotating weekends.

The Environmental Services Tech III is responsible for maintenance of floor care!. Practices safe work habits through the appropriate use of chemicals, various equipment and cleaning applications to include: mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping and polishing. Cross trained to EST I competencies in order to provide cleaning duties when necessary. Requirements:

• 1 year of related experience as an Environmental Associate.

• 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience required in lieu of High School Education.

• Must have previous experience with floor care to include: stripping and recoating floors using the proper equipment; basic knowledge of how to use a floor scrubber machine and how to use a side by side machine to scrub a floor or strip a floor and then use the necessary equipment to lay down wax to refinish the floor.
