As the Manager, Corporate Accounting, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include: Financial Close & Reporting: Oversee and support the monthly close process. Review payroll postings and manage journal entries. Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, supporting footnotes, and analytical schedules. Utilize ERP and planning tools for close management, master data oversight, and reconciliation reviews. Benefit Plan, Inventory & Fixed Asset Management: Analyze benefit plan accounts, including pensions, 401k, and deferred compensation. Prepare audited financials for the company's benefit plans and manage related audits. Supervise the fixed assets accountant and staff accountant. Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to GAAP disclosure requirements. Update and maintain internal controls over financial reporting and the close calendar. Monitor compliance and adapt processes as necessary. Research & Policy Development: Research and interpret new accounting pronouncements and their business impacts. Prepare memos and presentations for leadership, including the CFO and CEO. Team Leadership & Ad Hoc Projects: Develop team members through guidance, project assignments, and performance reviews. Lead ad hoc reporting and analysis initiatives as requested by management. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: 10+ years in corporate accounting, financial reporting, benefits accounting, or fixed assets. Leadership experience in managing teams and processes. General ledger and ERP system expertise. Credentials: CPA required. Public accounting or SEC reporting experience is a plus but not mandatory. Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities. Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
