As the Manager, Corporate Accounting, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

Financial Close & Reporting:
  • Oversee and support the monthly close process.
  • Review payroll postings and manage journal entries.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, supporting footnotes, and analytical schedules.
  • Utilize ERP and planning tools for close management, master data oversight, and reconciliation reviews.
Benefit Plan, Inventory & Fixed Asset Management:
  • Analyze benefit plan accounts, including pensions, 401k, and deferred compensation.
  • Prepare audited financials for the company's benefit plans and manage related audits.
  • Supervise the fixed assets accountant and staff accountant.
Compliance & Internal Controls:
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP disclosure requirements.
  • Update and maintain internal controls over financial reporting and the close calendar.
  • Monitor compliance and adapt processes as necessary.
Research & Policy Development:
  • Research and interpret new accounting pronouncements and their business impacts.
  • Prepare memos and presentations for leadership, including the CFO and CEO.
Team Leadership & Ad Hoc Projects:
  • Develop team members through guidance, project assignments, and performance reviews.
  • Lead ad hoc reporting and analysis initiatives as requested by management.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years in corporate accounting, financial reporting, benefits accounting, or fixed assets.
    • Leadership experience in managing teams and processes.
    • General ledger and ERP system expertise.
  • Credentials: CPA required. Public accounting or SEC reporting experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
    • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
