Join us as a Supervisor, IT Business Applications & Operational Support, where you'll lead a dynamic team managing critical Generation business applications and hardware. In this role, you'll guide the development, optimization, and support of IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems, shaping strategies that enhance efficiency and drive business success.

What your day would be like:

You are responsible for:



  • Leadership & Team Management: Oversee daily operations of the Generation IT team, ensuring seamless support for non-nuclear business applications and associated hardware.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop roadmaps and operational technology strategies to align with current and future project demands.
  • System Optimization: Analyze business and information needs to design and implement IT/OT solutions that improve workflows and operational efficiency.
  • System Configuration & Maintenance: Configure, implement, maintain, test, patch, and support business systems to ensure reliable performance.
  • Problem Solving: Address technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions to meet evolving business requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Supervisor IT Business Applications Support | Generation



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or other job related field from an accredited college or university
  • PLUSeight (8) years progressively responsible directly related experience in area/s of assignment is required to obtain an advanced understanding of information and/or communication systems, operating systems, network communications, equipment and infrastructure.
  • In lieu of Bachelor's degree, a combination of education and experience equaling 12 years is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills required.



Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications



  • Experience in the development, integration, and support of information and communication systems applications, distributed environments, distributed server architectures and cross platform interfaces.
  • Understanding of Network Model. Operator Training Simulator familiarity.
  • Real Time Contingency Analysis expertise.
  • Familiarity of FERC, NERC, and WECC regulations and Standards.
  • Ability to apply creative solutions to business problems to ensure business needs are most effectively met; advanced information system configuration management.
  • Skilled in managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within an organization.
  • Demonstrated high quality oral, written and presentation communication skills; interpersonal and people management skills; and demonstrated experience in project management.
  • Ability to respond promptly to customer needs and recognize the importance of customer focus and/or of serving the needs of the end user; takes a customer-centric approach to problem solving; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments; manages difficult or emotional customer situations; solves conflict; maintains confidentiality

Major Accountabilities

1) Leads the day-to-day activities of a team in the delivery and maintenance of quality information and communication systems solutions to support business processes that conform to I/S guidelines and architectures.

2) Leads the team in the resolution of technical issues by identifying, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions.

3)Leads team to support integration of new and existing information and business systems through overall systems architecture.

Balances preferred technical architecture and business requirements to provide effective solutions and ensuring customer support.

4) Manages work group costs within approved budget. Continually works to improve department work processes.

5) Supports unit level strategic plans that align with corporate and Information Technology plans. Supports client planning process and prioritization for systems technology implementation.

6) Assigns, directs, facilitates, reviews and approves unit work activities to ensure effectiveness and productivity of the work unit. Maintains knowledge and understanding of business processes. Leads work activities to meet client expectations.

7) Develops team and guides their efforts to continually improve the delivery of system solutions.

Provides feedback, coaching and training and development opportunities to create a high performing team.

8) Provide technical expertise when dealing with complex support and project challenges

9) Serve as an escalated level of customer support in situations of high complexity or workload
